  • I just saw the date and was reminded that this is the anniversary of the twin towers coming down.  My heart breaks again for those that lost loved ones on this day.  It's also a reminder to pray for our country and also for those how want to do us harm.  God loves them and wants them to know Him!  There are so many lost, hurting, disillusioned and decieved people out there who need Jesus!
  • Wow I can't believe it was January when I last posted.  Get involved with Facebook... kinda!  And just forget about Xanga!

Life has been interesting.  The summer has flown by... Ty's moved in with us the middle of April.  About 3 months later they bought a house about 4 miles from us.  It's been nice having them so close.  Audrey works so I babysit the grandbabies.  We went to Indiana a couple times this summer, but mostly stuck close to home and stayed busy!

Burnell is getting along really well.  He had surgery on his arm in Feb. but that looks like the end of surgeries for him.  He still limps and can't do nearly as much as he could over a year ago but we are grateful for how he has healed.  Doing certian work really wears him out but he keeps plugging along doing what he can.  Hopefully things will get settled with the insurance company soon.

I'm so looking forward to fall this year.  A few of the trees have begun to turn.  I love the crisp feel and smell of fall and all the color.  I love winter too so fall is just a prelude to winter!

It was so good to be able to go home the first of Sept. and get to see Faith.  It had been over a year since I saw her.  They left for Africa right before Burnell had his accident.  I miss her... and all my friends in Indiana.  Seems I haven't quite got that kind of connection with anyone up here!

Well another days is dawning and there's lots to do.  The Lord Bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you!

  • Life keeps moving along at a rapid pace.  Johanna had surgery on her ears yesterday.  It went very smoothly and was a very quick outpatient thing.  She had a little pain last night but other then that was doing really good.
Winter continues to keep us in it's icy grip!  Right now at 7:30 it is still -10!  I'm beginning to long for spring.  But then the heat of summer comes and I don't like that either!  So I'll just stop complaining and Thank God for what He gives us!
Today is just going to be an at home day.  Need to finish the laundry and get some cleaning done.  We are having some friends coming over Sunday afternoon.  Actually I think Ty's are coming on Saturday and staying overnight. That's always fun for us having them stay for the weekend.  Gives us time to play with the babies and have time together as a family.  I get lonely and I know Audrey does too.  Seems our men can live like hermits but we have a little bit of a problem with that!
Tonight we have Mid winter camp meeting down at Pentecostal Assembly.  We are planning on going.  The meetings are always really good and it's good to fellowship with people you haven't seen for awhile.  There is actually a service this morning but Monica has to work till 2 and she wants to go with us so we are waiting till evening.
Burnell is doing really good.  We got to his bone dr. over in the cities on Monday.  He's hoping they release him to go back to work but I'm not sure that's going to happen.
The Lord has continued to provide for us through other people and different avenues.  I did a quilt for a lady and that brought some income. I have 3 more to do for her.  Want to put one in the first of the week.
Need to get busy with my day!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  • Hello my friends!  It has been a long time since I've posted!  Life keeps moving at a rapid pace and I somehow get drug along with it.  Burnell is no longer in therapy so hopefully since we don't have to go to Rice Lake twice a week and Eau Claire twice a week the gas will go further and life will return to a slightly more normal mode.
Christmas was good!  The Monday night before Christmas all the children were home and everyone stayed overnight.  It was kind of neat to lay in bed and realize that our whole family was under our roof again.  That hasn't happened for quite sometime!  Delilah was here from Dec. 19 to 24.  It was so much fun having her and the kids here again.  It was almost a year and a half since she was home.  We were in Indiana to see her but she hasn't been here.
Today we are having a blizzard and I'm loving it.  It's very windstill but the snow is coming down very heavy and in big flakes.  It looks like one of those computer pics you get sometimes where you can see the snow falling and it's a wonderful winter scene!  Haven't really had one of these this year yet.  We haven't had a tremendous amount of snow this winter but it sure is piling up today!  Wish Delilah and the children were here now!  Emma and Isaiah would be thrilled!  Uncle Jordan would definitely have to take them sledding!
Burnell decided to build a wood working table today.  He would like to start doing some woodworking.  He's getting really tired of laying around!  I'm glad he feels good enough to do some things like this.  He doesn't sleep really good and I think it's partly because he doesn't do anything to even make him remotely tired.  It's good for him to do some of these things with Jordan too.  Jordan needs more to do...he's got SOOO much energy!
God has been so good to us.  He keeps blessing us financially as we keep trusting him faithfully!  It's amazing.  I can only stand in awe of His goodness and greatness!
Hope you all had a Blessed Christmas and wishing you a Joyous New Year!

  • I had no idea...

That the last time I posted was the day my husband almost died!  I didn't remember doing that at all!  I've been so busy with hospital, therapy and taking care of him and keeping up on Caring Bridge about his condition that I kind of forgot about Xanga.
Anyway... It's been a long 2 1/2 months.  And in some ways it's gone very fast!  Burnell is doing much better but has a long way to go.  I wonder sometimes how long it actually will be.
Between all that and other fractured relationships I can sometimes let myself get blue, but I serve a wonderful God and when I fall on my face before Him He always lifts me up and comforts me.  I know that no relationship on earth is as precious or important as the one I have with Him and I also know that He's the one who can heal those relationships.
On the other hand I have drawn closer to some friends that had kind of drifted away.  And I've suddenly come to the realization that no matter what anyone else does or how anyone treats me, my focus needs to be on God and reaching lost souls for Him.  If we could all keep our focus on that life would so much easier.  We would no longer focus on each other and our problems.
We are homeschooling the children since Burnell is laid up.  While I wasn't looking forward to it things are going good.  We do it under the church school so I don't have to keep any records etc.  The children so all their testing at the school.  We try to get up once a week so they can do that.
We are hoping to go home to Indiana sometime in Nov.  My family is getting together the 29th and my Dad's family is getting together the 30th so I know I want to be there over that time.
Tonight we are babysitting for Ty's and Lavell's children so they can spend sometime together.  Love those babies.  Joslyn is peacefully sleeping while the boys are racing around the house with cars and trucks and the little girls are just kind of roaming around getting in the boys way!  Sierra went to stay with a friend tonight.  Sure was glad no one decided to scream when Mama and Daddy left!
God bless you all with His Grace, Mercy and Peace!

About Me

  • I've been married 25 years to a wonderful man. We have 7 children and 4 grandchildren. I've been a stay at home mom for years. I just recently started working with my hubby at a fabricating shop when things get really busy and he needs a fill in! I've homeschooled for many years but this year the kids are going to a Christian school. I love to sew, quilt, crochet and do craft things. I want to try my hand at braiding rugs this winter.
